Charles (Charlie) E. Borrow

Charles (Charlie) E. Borrow, 68, of Volney passed away peacefully with his family by his side.  Born in Fulton, NY on February 21, 1955, to his late parents, Evelyn Kesterke and Herbert Borrow.  Charlie was the last of nine children.  Charlie was a member of the Volney Volunteer Fire Corporation since 1973 and a life member.  He also liked to hunt and fish, but most of all he liked spending time with his two sons, Edward, and Derek, and his two grandkids, Bradley and Paige.  Charlie retired in 2017 from Gardner Denver in Syracuse.

Charlie was predeceased by his two brothers, Roger and Roy Borrow, and his four sisters, Helen Hendricks, Theresa Hibbs, Florence Thurston, and Rosemary McGregor.  Charlie is survived by his significant other, Janine (Weaner) Weldin; sons, Edward (Roberta) Weldin of Palermo, Derek (Megan) Borrow of Volney; and his two grandkids, Bradley Weldin of Palermo, and Paige Weldin of Homer; his two brothers, Robert (Elizabeth) Borrow of Fulton, Thomas Borrow of Clay; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on February 24, 2024 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Volney Fire Station, 3002 State Route 3, Fulton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish, Central New York, 5005 Campus Wood Drive, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
