Harry R. Smith

OSWEGO, NY – Harry R. Smith, 91 of Oswego passed away on Monday May 21, 2018, at Oswego Hospital.

Harry was born in Oneida, NY to the late Daniel and Flossie (Hilton) Smith

He served in the US Army and was a WWII Veteran with citations of Army Occupation Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, and WWII Victory Medal. 

Harry retired from the Oswego County Highway Department.

He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Karen Litzenberger Smith; siblings Fred (Patricia) Smith and Joan Smith;  children Cyndy Leonhardt, Nancy (Edward) Monette, Roger Smith and Frank Smith; step children Phillip Slocum and Daryl (Kristopher) Ferrara; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday May 25, 2018 at the New Haven Community Alliance Church located at 4175 State Route 104, Mexico, NY 13114.  There will be calling hours from 10:00am – 12:00pm, with a Memorial Service immediately following the calling hours.  Burial to follow at the Fayetteville Cemetery.
