Linda S. Barnes, 72, of N. Syracuse passed away May 2, 2022, at Francis House with family by her side.  

Linda retired from the VA.  She loved her cats and had her own pet sitting business.  She loved ice cream, riding her motorcycle, and playing guitar.  She was loved by many friends and lived many places.  Linda always did her own thing. 

Linda is survived by her daughter, Sonya (Desmond) Sewell; sister, Christine; brother, Wayne (Marilyn); granddaughters, Mya and Malia; and she was an aunt to six nieces and nephews and a great aunt to 11 nieces and nephews. 

She is predeceased by her parents George and Joyce (Josephine) and her best friend, Micki. 

Burial will be a private family service held at a later date.  Donations can be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY. 13208.  The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Francis House not only for Linda, but her family as well.  Condolences may be left on the tribute wall on the funeral home’s website.
