Rita M. Rosenow

Rita M. Rosenow , 97, of Liverpool passed into the arms of the Lord Sunday November 25, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse surrounded by her loving family.

Rita was a native of Buffalo, NY. She moved to Liverpool in 1960 when her husband was transferred through his job at Niagara Mohawk.

Rita was a communicant of Christ the King Church in Liverpool.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was predeceased by her husband Paul Rosenow of 46 years, grandson Jeffrey McGuire, and granddaughter Sarah Stankiewicz.

She is survived by nine children, Cherie (Dick) Byrnes of Florida; Marilyn (Wayne) Barnes of North Syracuse; Colleen (Mike ) McGuire of North Syracuse; Cindy Rosenow of Mexico, NY; Dawn (Hank) Stankiewicz of Ohio; Carl (Cyndy) Rosenow of Georgia; Gary (Gail) Rosenow of Florida; and Dave Rosenow of Ossining, NY; 22 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. with a mass immediately following on Friday November 30, 2018 at Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool, NY.  Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Little People of America or the American Heart Association.
